Anti lock and Vtec question!

I have a anti lock light on. How do i find out what the problem is. Do i jump the wire underneath the glove compartment? And if it is by jumping the wires how do i read it?

Also, I feel that the vtech is not engaging. At 5800 rpm's i'll look at the oil guage and don't really see a significant difference in psi loss. What is another way to diagnose.

Thank You
Warren

Jumper the 2 pin blue connector under the glove box and note the number of flashes on the ABS lamp.

If you were not getting Vtec you would most likely get a check engine lamp on too.

Warren,

I just went through finding the mysterious bright blue connector on my '96. First, go to the FAQ section of NSX Prime and print out the one on reading the codes. It has a great picture as to where to find the connector.

Once you find the connector, you'll wonder how you could have missed it. Using the picture as a starting point, on my '96, that blue connector was immediately above the right plastic "button" that holds the rug to the floor. Its snapped into an empty shell that is also anchored to the floor, so the connector doesn't bounce around. Without removing anything, other than possibly the floor mat (not the rug!), you can squeeze the small tab at the top of the connector and pull it out. (Being a contortionist, or at least being younger than me, helps. ) Then its just short the two pins together and follow the FAQ.

PS - the code confirmed I just lost the primary rear O2 sensor heater. It acted up once in January on a very cold night. It finally failed permanently. Time to go to my local Acura dealer for the extended warranty on pollution controls.
