I park my car in front of my office everyday because that is pretty much the only safe place to park. I have a customer come in today and say wow, nice lingenfelter corvette. He said How long did you have it on order. I said well sir its not a corvette. He said "I know, its a lingen felter" at this point, I am astounded. I tell him its an NSX and he said that he had never heard of a chevy nsx. Pretty amazing huh? I then had to explain that it was an acura/honda. People are annoying. Just thought I would share.

Shoulda just said it was a Geo Storm Special Edition.

Reminds me of a few months ago I was having my house painted and the guy asked what kind of rear end I had on the corvette, haha. I had thought he was a car guy, too!

I was at breakfast this weekend and I overheard the couple next to me ask, "What kind of car is that?" Funny thing is that their 9 year-old son squeaked out, "It's an NSX, by Acura."

Smart kid.

In 1964 I had a Volvo P1800. The standard remark was, "Nice, is it a Karmen Ghia?"

In 1967, I had a Alfa Duetto Spyder. The standard remark was, "Is it a Fiat?"

Chevy NSX? Nice ;)

It reminds me of the guy who I met at the gas station who kept insisting that the best NSX had a V12, and asking why I didn't get that one.

I drove up the other day to a service station and was greeted by a mechanic/attendant who told me he was a sports car buff and god...he then immediately asked me what type of Nissan I was driving?...lol...

I am out...God's speed everyone

I think i've had two people confuse the 99GSR I was driving with a porsche.

If your car wasn't featured in the fast n the furious movies than nobody will recognize it

Haha, I had the same comment from some guy trying to impress his wife with his car knowledge at the Dream Cruise last year when my car was parked and I was sitting about 10 feet from it. It was great to hear some of the comments.

It was pretty much just a nod and an "oh". I think he was disappointed or something. After that, he just bought some stuff and left. I guess he was a GM guy.

We all know its not the fastest production car ever produced. I have heard from people that say they read about it being the fastest production car produced at a given period of time (1991?)... is there any truth to this? I don't see how it would be possible considering the F40 was produced from 1987 until 1992. I know that 959 production stopped in 1989. Perhaps it was based on larger production number cars or something, who knows.

Do they actually consider the F40 as a production car? Didn't it already have buyers before it was produced? Thus making it more of a "mail-order bride" type of production...lol...
