Another new Porsche

Sounds like they are calling the upcoming Boxster-based Coupe the Cayman S. I guess that means no "Boxster Coupe" in name.

It's only a matter of time until the "Gayman" jokes begin.

I wish Prosche would produce a car cheaper than the Boxter, in other words, a Porsche anyone can buy, even if they have to change the brand name (I think this was the original idea of the Boxter but they lost track)

the Boxster name is a combonation of Boxer and Roaster, so Porshce can not put "Coupe" at the end of a name suggesting a roadster.

They have tried this before, but it wasn't the greatest car, they created the 914. It is very tough for a small company to compete with the big automotive companies on inexpensive cars.

If Porsche calls that a Coupe, that would be a Fowl! Hahaha!!
They can call the car a Cuckoope instead of a Coupe!

I've wondered for some time if Boxster sales ate into 911 cabrio sales. Kind of embarassing to have your $90K (?) car mistaken by the masses for a $45K car. Now the same can happen to the 911 coupes.

I think that this Cayman S looks like a rolling turd. There is no other way for me to describe it.

i cant believe you spotted that. I read what i wrote a couple of times and still didnt catch it. The Cayman doesnt look that bad. I actually like the look more than the boxster and 911. I think this car will probablky go for $60k-65k considering that most 997's go off the lot at about $80K because of options.
