Another Factory Alarm Question

You will have to do some basic electrical troubleshooting to see if the bulb is bad or it's a loose connection. I recall it being an LED, but not sure. Sometimes if work has been done on the door, window regulator grease, window thingie fix, etc. a wire may have come loose.

The way to go is to pull the door panel and check it out. Remember that once you get the 7 screws loose holding the door panel on, the chrome strip DOES NOT come off with the door panel, it stays with the door!

I mention it, since my first time I bend the chrome strip, trying to rip it off with the door panel, cost me an additional $65 for a new one. Learn from my mistake!!

I had the same problem. I followed the trouble shooting section in the service manual. Not that the service manual helped solve my problem, I think just unplugging and replugging the wire harnesses in and out of each plug did the trick. But the service manual may help solve your problem.

Now I have a problem with the alarm going off intermitently. I have tugged on all of the doors and lids with the system activated, and I get no alarms. I haven't tried anything else yet.
