Well I was going over the article again just looking at the Vettes. Maybe some of the Vette guys are crying that a stock Z06 brakes better then their $10,000 brake systems. I think the C&D test needs to have the same driver for all test cars. There numbers are all over the place.

LPE Vette, $7,200 for brakes
Brembo 14 x 1.3'' brakes front and rear
Total stopping distance 688.7 feet

Mallett 435 Vette, $10,500 for brakes
Alcon 13.5 X 1.4'' 6 piston front
Alcon 13.0 X 1.3'' 4 piston rear
Total stopping distance 882 feet

GTR Vette, $6,800 for brakes
Alcon 15 X 1.3'' 4 piston front and rear
Total stopping distance 729.5 feet

Yep... I've tried the Alcon/Baer system on the Mallett C5. These will outbrake ANY production car IMO -- even a P911TT.

Something doesn't smell right here.
