Spotted this NSX driving around a couple of weeks ago near my place, so I took these photos. It's not a bad car in person, though again I'm embarrassed that yet another Australian NSX has a roof-scoop for cabin-ventilation.

It's a '91 NSX too.

Here's the rear. Check out the "Type-R" sticker. :D
Are those racks on the rear for a larger rear-wing??? Been trying to work out what they're for.

Neo: they stole the hood scoop from my Mustang and I want it back!

andyray1983: I don't think that was a graphic -- just the reflection of an unusual cloud formation.

PhoeN$X : LOL... yeah, they flew ALLLL the way to AZ to rip it off. You'd make a great detective. ;) But now you've pointed it out, that roof-scoop looks kinda leet & cool now. :D

neo- this is the same NSX which had 20" and widebody and those things in the rear were where his GT wing once was.

Hrmm--do you think they modify them like this to give them an even more "rare" appearance? It kinda makes sense.

Why did he revert back (apart from the bad taste issue?)
Did he respray the bonnet because of the airbrushing?

i don't think it looks that bad
good color and decent wheels and body kit
bad scoop on the roof and the wing studs need to be removed along with the airbrushing:rolleyes:

I was just wondering if the owner actually cut into the roof to make it functional. Or is it just for the looks???

That looks like a flower painted on the hood.
Hate to disagree but it can't be a cloud formation. Look at the left hand side of the 'formation' it has good 2 lines going up the crease of the hood.

NSXBOX, I read this the other day; just couldn't reply.
I wonder where we could find some photos of it with the 20" rims on it.... i'd be really interested to see how much work was done to the car to return it to a relatively "stock" look.

The Roof Scoop has a "bling bling" factor of 7/10, which translates into 49HP. :D

If i see this car again, if i can, i'll stick around and look suspicious (hopefully to draw out the owner ;) ) ...maybe i'll give the [H] badges a close examination  ;)
I'll pay closer attention to any Vinyls or graphics ... last time i was in a hurry.

Neo- the car had a widebody kit when it had 20" Lowenhart LD1's so he put the stock fenders in.

If you look close or use some image enhancing software, its a large fork tongued lizard that is supposed to look like it is bursting through the hood.

That's the same NSX???!?! i dont think so.

yup, send that pix to me AJ... you got my details still, right?
After seeing the 2F2F NSX, nothing scares me... :D

there couldnt be 2 people willing to put that on the hood and the scoop on the roof, this has to be the same car. I didnt like the snow plow version ,but if this is the alternative,.uh......oh....ugh....i think im going to be sick!

u mean it is not a unicorn? i was thinking my little pony for my hood. that or a spotted owl.

i gotta go puke.

we need to steal the dang thing and fix it back into something respectable.
