Based on RyRy210's NSX Year and Mileage poll, I have accumulated the data set based on the respondents, and got the following stats.

Obviously, the following calculation assumes many things including 1) the cars surveyed were owned "only" by the current owner, and 2) the number of respondents were ignorable, i.e., "outliers" are also included in the calculation (like 1992 with 2k miles). These assumptions parallels the argument that the sample in this calculation was NSXs rather than owners.

In any case, I just wanted to provide you a shocking fact that our NSXs are driven less frequently (could this be a reason that I hardly see one on the road??).

It's also worth noting that, while the average is 5.1K/year, the median is 4.8K/year.

Both figures are very useful information. I frequently use the figure of 5K miles/year as an average for NSXs, but I never really knew if it was actually 4K or 6K or what.

Holy mackerel! I do 5.1k miles in about 2 and a half months. LOL! You all need to drive your cars more.

What poor neglected NSX'x... Obviously they're your cars..do what you will...but geez... Buy a Monet or something. It's like people that buy $50,000 grand pianos to put in the parlor...but couldn't play chop sticks. NSX's are great to look at...but I can't imagine it just sitting. Maybe someone can explain that attraction to me. I get it if you are the traveling type that your ride is left home alone...but I am venturing to guess this is not the case. 5k per year ok...I am in that range...but that is average? Wholly crap!

Tewills,

How do you get a '94 black NSX with Onyx interior? My '94 doesn't have that. Onyx interiors I think started in '95. Maybe yours is re-upholstered?

tewills,

[humor]You say you don't taken your NSX to the track? What poor neglected NSX's... Obviously they're your cars..do what you will...but geez... Buy a Monet or something. It's like people that buy $50,000 grand pianos to put in the parlor...but only play chop sticks. NSX's are great to drive...but I can't imagine it just being driven on the street without going to the track. Maybe someone can explain that attraction to me. I get it if you are the commuting type that you want to keep your ride with you...but I am venturing to guess this is not the case. 1K track miles per year ok...I am in that range...but that is above average? Wholly crap![/humor]

As they say, different strokes...

You also have to take into consideration that there are quite a few of us that store our NSX's during the winter months.

Good question...as I bought this car used...I don't have the original invoice saying what color my interior is. Everything I read...I thought that ONYX was referring to black. Well, looked deeper as a result of your question, and what I found is: Availability for ONYX is only 1997 to Present. Prior to '97 it was just called black; in two different color codes.
Color Code: E (1991 to 1994) & J (1995 to 1996). E is darker, J is more of a very dark charcoal gray. I have made a symantic error, based on my ignorance. Thanks for the heads up!! Signature to be corrected.
