Based on RyRy210's NSX Year and Mileage poll, I have accumulated the data set based on the respondents, and got the following stats.
Obviously, the following calculation assumes many things including 1) the cars surveyed were owned "only" by the current owner, and 2) the number of respondents were ignorable, i.e., "outliers" are also included in the calculation (like 1992 with 2k miles). These assumptions parallels the argument that the sample in this calculation was NSXs rather than owners.
In any case, I just wanted to provide you a shocking fact that our NSXs are driven less frequently (could this be a reason that I hardly see one on the road??).
Year || NSXs || Ave Annual Mileage (in 000)
1991 || 34 || 4.8
1992 || 15 || 5.8
1993 || 3 || 7.2
1994 || 11 || 5.3
1995 || 7 || 5.5
1996 || 3 || 5.2
1997 || 11 || 4.8
1998 || 4 || 6.5
1999 || 2 || 3.8
2000 || 4 || 3.0
2001 || 4 || 4.9
2002 || 3 || 3.3
Average Annual Mileage, 1991-2002 = 5.1k
