Is was wondering how hard the alternator belt is to realign? I want to remove the alternator to have it polished. Also do you guys mark the alignment bolt prior to removal to know where to preset it again? I didn't see anything in the FAQ and the manual doesn't say much.

There is a spec 12-14mm deflection(@middle of belt between alt. & pulley)with 22ft/lbs of force
best thing is to feel the belt before you remove the alt. and tighten to same
you should not have to mark postion because you will be able to see where the postion was
