I Have A 1279 Code On Check Engine Lite And My Eps Also Went Out I've Got A 14.8+ Volt Reading Will The Eps Shut Off? I've Seen Spikes Up To 15.3 Volts At The Altenator. Thanks For Ant Help

Yea But According To Manuel At Idle It Should Be 13.5 And If You Rev To 2000 Rpm It Should Not Spike Over 15.1 And I Have See 15.3 Once Using A Fluke77 Meter

There has been reports of problems with the EPS when people had a bad/ weak battery. Also the Battery should soak up any voltage spikes so I would suspect you have a bad battery or a bad connection between the battery and the alternator.

I Hear You About The Battery And I Load Tested The Original Battery And It Was Weak. So I Replaced It With A New Interstate. I Used The Larger Battery Recommended For The Automatics. My Car Is A Five Speed. Cleaned The Terminals And Insured They Were Nice And Tight. There Was A Sevice Bulletin On The Eps Controler Recommending Replacement. But Everything Was Fine Till I Ran The Car At High Revs On The Highway And Poped The Check Engine Lite. Two Days Later I Went To Drive The Car And The Eps Lite Went Off. So My Gut Instinct Is That There Is Some Corolation Between The Two Issues. The Engine Fault Code Is 1279 And The Eps Fault Code Is 22. We Can Totally Rule Out The Battery. I Will Check Out The Ground Lead To Chassis. The Negative Terminal Was Loose Before I Replaced The Battery. I Can Perform A Reset With The Fuse And Some Days It Will Go All Day Some The Eps Lite Goes On When You Touch The Wheel.

That's not what my manual states:
Specified Voltage & current output are indeed at 2000 rpm - the only reference to 13.5V however is that when a load is applied (while at 2000 rpm) the measured voltage should be in the range 12.0 - 13.5 while supplying a load of >60 Amps.
Reagrding 15.3 vs 15.1 - I guarantee there will be spikes significantly higher than 15.3 as opposed to 15.1 - your fluke is just not fast enough to catch the true peak vlue.
Your alternator & regulator are fine.
