Alignment vs. Steering Wheel position

When I bought my X, it tracked straight, but the steering wheel position favored toward the driver side just a bit. Shortly after I had it aligned by an NSX tech at honda. I immediately made note of the steering wheel being dead straight.

Its been about 2 months and 900 miles, and I'm noticing the same situation again. At the time of the alignment, I put 4 new tires on and they are basically in perfect condition. I don't ever remember hitting anything in the past 2 months.

I generally use the steering wheel to get in and out of the car. Could downward pressure on the steering wheel cause slight movement in the actual steering wheel position?

...Car still tracks straight....

any suggestions?

don't know what to tell you about the steering wheel shifting... but i do know that you can adjust the steering wheel separate from the wheels. it should only take the alignment shop a minute.

and... 900 miles in 2 months??? go for a drive man!!

No, it won't, unless your steering wheel locking nut is totally loose and the steering is not all the way in the teeth. But you will get in accident when you drive like that, one word, don't worry... (now if you are 500lbs Shumo wrestler, It might cause some damage but still not the steering position...)
