Alex Zanardi on Dave Letterman now...

I missed it  Can someone please give us some details? Any NSX discussion?

A bit late, but here is the video

I was searching for something or other today and ran across the video with Zanardi from this episode. There’s over 15 minutes with Alex.

If you don’t want to watch the video in your browser, you can download it with these links: part1.wmv (34 MB Windows Media, 9:17) and part2.wmv (32 MB Windows Media, 8:01).

What an amazing guy.

Thanks for hosting that Ojas. He truly is an amazing person. When you run into that kind of person, it just makes all the daily crap sort of melt away only to realize what a wonderful world we live in.

Thank you Ojas for listing those video clips. That was genuinely inspiring & funny. He had obviously forgiven the other driver involved in his accident, and was even good-humoured about his condition! Now I understand why people say he's an "amazing man" -- and I thought it was because he was involved with the NSX. :D

What was his move at the corkscrew? Sounds like a bad pick-up used at a nightclub.

No, no, no Neo! It is much better than.... "the knuckle"! Just ask George.

P.S.- If you're happy and you get this clap your hands!

Thanks Ojas for posting that link. I'm listening to it now.

Mike, Alex passed Jimmy Vasser (as I recall) on the last lap at Laguna Seca by going to the OUTSIDE of the Corkscrew (in the dirt), and held the position to win! Simply incredible. Especially if you've ever driven the track (as I've had the pleasure to do a number of times).

Speaking of Zanardi. Does anyone have a video of his unfortunate accident? I've only seen it once and it was a long time ago right after it happened.

WOW! You weren't kidding. Those are pretty graphic. I still can't believe he lived through that.

I don't know what gibs are. But if you mean pieces of his legs, then yes. That's what they look like to me.
