Alex Zanardi HBO interview

Was watching HBO last night and saw an ad for the next Real Sports show airing Tuesday 10:00PM EST. Showed a segment featuring Alex Zanardi and how he is doing since his accident.
I just tried to double check it from HBO's site but couldn't confirm.
Worth a peek tomorrow night.

AZ comeback ??

the August 4 issue of Autoweek mentions a possible comeback for our two-time CART hero.

He's reportedly testing in an ETCC BMW 320i for European Touring Car Championship. After a successful round of tests in Italy (Adria and Misano Circuits), a race in October at Monza has not been ruled out.

I saw that on Speed Channel. For him to race wheel to wheel (other than karts) again is just amazing.

For anyone interested there was some really grizzly still pictures on the HBO special of pieces of Alex Zanardi's legs flying through the air. They also showed some video footage of Alex half dead in the car. It was pretty nasty!

Wow! It was THAT graffic? I was looking through my old Sports Illustrated magazines on Saturday and they had a shot of Alex Tagliani's car striking Alex Zanardi's car and you can see pieces of Zanardi's legs flying everywhere... it may be the same still shot.

PROBABLY THE SAME SHOT. IT WAS A STILL PHOTO.
THEY ACTAULLY SHOWED WHAT WAS LEFT OF HIS LEGS WIGGLING IN THE CAR WHEN THE SAFETY CREW ARRIVED. IT WAS NASTY AND SAD!
