Hi, front RHS abs wheel sensor gave up last week. The dc resistance was up to 11.6 M Ohm, the others were at 810 Ohm, so I`me running with the abs & traction lights on the dash with the functions disabled.
Phoned my Honda agent to be told they are priced at £194.71, which by any standards is a tad expensive for a coil of copper wire round a small magnet & a lead with plug on it, the steel routing brackets bolted to the suspension parts must be a heck of a price!!!
Has anyone experimented with GM or Ford sensors that are a fraction of the price?
I shall be trying some out, as soon as I get chance, to compare the outputs from different coils to the Honda origonal
The faulty coil would not budge from the hub, & I didnt have time to strip the hub down & drive it out from the inside, besides which it had corroded badly so I drilled it out. So much for the joys of British winter motoring on rock salt strewn roads
