Hello all! I'm big on DIY jobs, and do EVERYTHING on the car myself. I'm just installing a new Alpine alarm, and figured I would post the install points/wire colors to make the job easier for the next guy. I have a 1992 NSX, but a majority of the wires should remain the same colors in all years. It's still best to check with a volt-meter to be SURE! I don't want you damaging your baby!

12V+ constant = WHITE = At the ignition harness

12v+ ignition = BLACK/YELLOW = Ignition harness

12v+ accessory = YELLOW = Ignition harness

12v+ Starter = BLACK/WHITE = Ignition harness

Tach signal = BLUE = There is a small 2-pin plug in the engine compartment on the drivers side firewall. Of course you may also connect to the ignition coil.

Lock = GREEN/WHITE = At the doorlock module which is located behind the glovebox

Unlock = WHITE/YELLOW = Also at doorlock module

Door open sensor = BLACK/WHITE = Attach to the courtesy light under the dash

Trunk open sensor = GREEN/BLACK = Attach to light in trunk

Factory alarm arm = RED = In drivers kickpanel

Factory alarm disarm = GREEN/YELLOW = Drivers kickpanel

Brake switch = GREEN/WHITE = Switch above brake pedal

Parking lights = RED/BLACK = Drivers kickpanel

Horn = BLUE/RED = In the steering column

Reverse lights = GREEN/BLACK = Inside plastic harness running to the back of the vehicle, access from trunk

Key sense = BLUE/WHITE = Ignition harness

If anyone has any updates for newer models, if there is anything different feel free to add!

Thanks,
SR

Thanks for the Help. I am going to install my this weekend. the only this I could not find in the nsx manual was the tach and the arm and disarm for the factory alarm.

Tach signal = BLUE = There is a small 2-pin plug in the engine compartment on the drivers side firewall. Of course you may also connect to the ignition coil.

Hello all! I'm big on DIY jobs, and do EVERYTHING on the car myself. I'm just installing a new Alpine alarm,

Sorry, to take this off topic, but... Correct me if I'm wrong but Alpine hasn't made a new alarm in several years. Last one I installed was model 8046 I think and that was probably on the order of 7-10 years ago. You might want to think about getting an alarm that was made in this century since you are doing all of this work now. :)

For the wires, there is an easier trunk sensor input to tap into than in the trunk. Likewise for the hood and engine compartment. I believe it is all in the indicator display on the dash.

Post is 4 years old, and if memory serves I believe Cmputerwiz has since passed away.
