shortgears ?does that mean you're gonna be faster than me ? I had the airco checked today. There was enough freon & oil, no leaks. They said it will be the compressor itself. Sometimes an old compressor can start to make noise. It can work another few years, it can also die in a few days. Strange that nobody on this forum had the same problem. Maybe it is because my car was in a showroom in Canada for several years( '91 and first used in 1997).I'll keep you informed.
