Airbags: Mess up your insurance?

For those of you that have removed your steering wheel and replaced it with an aftermarket one - have you looked into the possible insurance consequences?

Hmm... yeah good question.

I plan to get a new wheel right after putting in a harness system, which I hope will be pretty soon. I'd just reckon try to avoid the question...

You need to fill out a form and send it in; you can pick one up at any Ferrari dealership- other than that there really isn't all that much I talk to my insurance agent about.

an airbag is supposed to protect you from flying into the steering wheel and dash. I suppose a properly installed 5 point harness would do the same thing. for some reason, I doubt the insurance companies would realize this....
