Saw a story on TV about this last night. I believe it deploys based on the speed at the time of collision. It sure would be funny if it came out when you bumped the wall in your garage. :biggrin:
I guess it's better than breaking both of your femurs on your handlebars on your way over.
I still don't like it either though.

didn't know that about the speed, but (of course) that makes sense.

I saw this too on TV, and I could just picture the rider being knocked off the bike by the airbag.
