Air in coolant lines?

Okay, I just replaced my oem coolant tank with the SoS tank, setting a new safety record by adding only one new scar to my collection. :)

There were a couple of small bubbles in the lower hose that I managed to get out. I don't think there are any more (I took care not to bend it downward), but I want to know how I'll know if air got any deeper into that line. What symptoms should I be on the lookout for?

Thanks...

Keep an eye on your temp gauge. Make sure it doesn’t rise above where it normally resides. For my car, the needle in the gauge stays a little below the ½ way point.

Once your car is warmed up, turn on the heater and make sure its blowing heat.

If your car’s temperature is staying normal and the heater is working then I’d say you don’t need to bleed the system. If you do need to bleed, there is a procedure detailed in the service manual.

Sometimes after I turn the car off, I hear a gurgling sound behind the dash. Does this mean I need to bleed the coolant system? Or is it normal?

thanks!
