Have you guys ever had any bad experience with them? They took the longest time to handle my claim. When I called in to speak with my claim rep I always get her vmail. Now they told me I have to pay for some rental because my car wasn't in the shop when I first took out the car. I have to file DMV paperwork and get the police report myself. My girlfriend Farmers does all that for her when she was in an accident. After I get my deductible back Ima go with AAA or Farmers. It's been a month and I haven't receive my deductible plus they sent me this stupid letter asking me if I want my deductible back. Are you f-kidding me? We all love our car right and we want to make sure you're in good hand (like AllState says )

I'd say thats really not representative of the company. I sell AIG annuities amongst others and my broker support experience has always been top notch. May be biased since I make them money, but really, they've been great on the annuity side. I haven't had experience with their P&C department.

Really though, the fault lies in the laziness of your particular claims rep. I'd suggest requesting a new claims adjuster. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she may be busy this time of year with all the inclement weather (depending on where you live). I'm sure Ohio reps are bashing their heads against walls after last night.

After the fact, if you do switch, I'd recommend Nationwide above all. Allstate and Nationwide have the best rates for good drivers. Thats a fact. Give em a try.

My claim rep and claim adjuster never returned call. BOTH OF THEM !
I will definitely call Nationwide or Allstate to get a quote. I'm in CA and theres nothing major going on here right now.

I was a member of AIG for about 5years til' I got an accident.....F**K em. AAA? forget that tooo.........However, I hear a lot of good things about Farmers. I am with wawanesa now.........so far so good

Farmers has a great claims dept. Had them for years. But they have a great claims dept because you pay 25% more than most other places (in my experience).

I have had state farm and Allstate and both have been fine, but I have not had a claim for many years (since Farmers).

Never had any experience w/ AIG
