Aftermarket shift boots?

The previous owner of my car installed an aftermarket shift knob and decided to hack off the chrome ring from the boot and cut the shift boot then super glue it to "fit" tighter. Does anyone have experience with aftermarket shift boots from ebay?

I guess I can always pull out the sewing machine and make my own boot but then I won't have the ring at the top...

I have one of those OEM shift boot rings if you need it. I went a different route.

Care to share your different route? Thanks for the ring but the boot is really butchered up. Getting a ring won't do anything.

Ah. I see. Oh well. Thought I could help. But, yea, I went with an after market knob myself. I'm in the middle of an interior upgrade. I have a MOMO knob now thats perforated leather and carbon fiber. The way it fastens eliminates the ring. I'll post a picture or two in this post to show you.

Only shift boots that have the ring are the OEM ones and some other oem honda boots. You can always got to a aftermarket boot and knob.

A lot of people go this route:
