Hey guys!

I have always had a hard time trying to disguinish how much coolant I have in my reservoir.

Does anyone produce an aftermarket CLEAR reservoir?

any help is always greatly appreciated!

I believe SOS "used to" make one with a glass sight tube but got discontinued. Dali makes a tank with sight tube, but I just realized it's for checking to see if oil is being spewed out in the oil catch section of the tank.

Have you tried a BRAND NEW oem coolant tank? I know ours turns yellow or frosty pretty quick.

I know this is pretty ghetto but I use a screw driver to measure mine. Simply a wooden stick would work too.

I'd be sceptical about aftermarket plastic tanks that are not OEM quality since there is constant pressure on them while hot.

The gt-rom catch can / coolant tank combination has a sight tube (a plastic material) for the coolant, and oil side, of the tank.

Recently (last week), the coolant sight "glass" sprung a pin-sized leak, and shot coolant over the engine bay. I remove the sight tube, and filled in the holes with bolts and o-rings, now I have to use a flash light to check the coolant level, or perhaps one of the methods detailed above.

I have had the tank installed for about a year now, I am disappointed with the quality of the included hardware, and tubing, but the tank itself is a quality part. I used the SOS installation kit from their catch tank, as the included tubing would constrict under load.

Just be careful to NOT drop the screwdriver or stick inside the tank unless it's longer than the tank is deep. Probably is a b!tch to get out if you do.

I just use a regular screw driver, measure outside on the screw driver how far from the top of the tank opening to the line. Put my finger there and as long as the screw driver's end gets wet, it's full enough. Works out well since I only do it once a month or two.
