After Ecclestone, the Future of Formula One According to Whitmarsh

I read about the interview from here: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/15072011/66/f1-teams-ponder-testing-rethink-plans.html

It's interesting that both want to take advantage of "new" media but don't really have an idea on what it is. Of course the driving agenda is how they can make $$$ with new media....

As for news corp taking over F1, I don't think that will happen while Bernie is around - he won't let it happen cuz he would lose control over the very creation he created, what F1 is today. Even though I think he has a Napoleon complex, he has done some good things for the sport.

I think it will be a wise move after all RM does know how to promote sports all over the world. F1 is a money pit and I'm sure he is considering the deal with great interests.

I'd like to see his wife Wendi Deng go after anyone that disagrees with him!

She can try me on. I'm very familiar with the culture and how to handle the situation.
