Okay heres what I got, I had a problem with my temp gauge not working so I replaced the sensor and ran the car to see if it worked.. and it did (only ran it alittle car has been in the garge all winter) Then I changed my coolent and bled the system .... I let it run and it seemed fine and the temp gauge was sitting right below the half way point then after sitting at that temp for 5 mins in started to climb toward the red, when it got to two lines below the red I shut it off. Now heres whats weird the rad fan did not go on and the rad and hoses seemed cool not warm at all!!! So could my gauge be wrong??Would the fan come on if the gauge read hot or is it not tied to the gauge?

Your thermostat is stuck closed....

Okay I'll check that be even if it was stuck shouldn't the rad fan still go on when the temp gauge reaches the red?

The temp gauge is the temp of the engine, not the radiator. If the thermostat is closed and the water in the radiator is cool, there is no reason for the fan to come on.

The first question I have is how much coolant did you refill and how did you bleed it? If all was fine before, I wonder about the bleed process and how effectively it was done.

If you open each bleed valve does coolant come out of each one? If there is not enough coolant, or air in the system, regardless of the thermostat, it will not be right.

The NSX has 3 sensors that measure coolant temp, one for the gauge, one for the ECU and one for the fan control. All three are located on the engine. Assuming the cooling fan sensor is working the fan should come on. If you have an air bubble in the block the fan sensor may not have any coolant to sense. Did you bleed air from all 4 bleeders?
