Charles and I we fortunate enough to be able to talk with him for a couple of minutes. He was excited that there were a group of NSX's there and wished us well in the show. He even offered us some of his snack that he was munching on. Very nice person indeed!!
Of course his NSX was there. Beautiful car.

Wow, that hood looks really long. I didn't follow the history of the car. I assume it's front engined?

You're correct

it is a front engine car. It runs front to back. It is a lot wider of an engine than I realize. When you look at the one in your car it doesn't appear that big until you take it out or see one straight on do you see exactly how wide it is.

doesnt the rear have some lift system or something to lift it up and have it angled? i remember seeing a nitto add, where the rear of the car was sky high and the front was pointed downward...

The car is really really cool, however maybe someone can explain. What is the facination with making a car to look like an NSX, then to make the hood longer, make it front engine and gut the interior. I don't get it, is there anything NSX about it??? I'm not just taking a stab at this car, many hard core drag cars are like this. Is it just a novelty to make it an NSX. I realize this shape and drivetrain is best for this type of racing, but then why not make it something that already is rear drive, front engine?? Wouldn't it be cheaper, and it would make sense.

Please no flames, just trying to understand the sport

That car is about as fast as I could ever want a car to be! (If I can ever get to that level.)

maybe he wanted to keep to the 'import theme/scene'. As his last car was an mazda rx7 if i remember correctly. Wouldnt be the same if he had a...dare i say it...american car!

conjecture on my part. But thats why im buying the 'n'

He also has another street driven NSX. Heck, if you have the money and love the NSX why not make one of them into a full blown drag car? I think its great.
