currently scheduling my NSX for 90K and timing belt and water pump work at a local hond dealer.

they mentioned about the acura updated the water pumps for the NSX that will require a new timing belt cover for the water pump to fit properly. the new belt cover would cost $150. any of you heard about this before?

i was just curious why they updated the water pumps. i never read a thread regarding a problem with them.

Not an Acura dealer, that would have done this work before and be trained for it?

Yes. This has been reported here before, and is also reported in the FAQ (under Maintenance - Timing Belt). They are giving you good advice.

They updated them to move the weep hole away from the timing belt. With the original design, it would drip directly onto the timing belt.

thanks guys. my bad, i should've look at the FAQ first. but i just heard from the dealer and thought i'd get a faster answer from you guys.

which i did.
