ACT clutch review

I just replaced my tired original clutch with an ACT rebuild I picked up from Dali Racing. I also had a JUN light flywheel, Type-R transmission and headers installed at the same time.

I like the ACT clutch. Pedal effort is slightly heavier than stock, tight & pleasing, yet never becomes tiresome even in stop & go traffic.

The ACT grabs much like the OEM unit, positively yet smoothly with no shudder. The only other difference I could discern was that the ACT disengages low, closer to the floor, than did the OEM clutch, which disengaged very close to the top. The JUN flywheel and the fact I'm comparing a brand new clutch to a very tired clutch may account for this in to some extent. Not bad, just takes getting used to.

Overall, I would recommend the ACT to anyone who likes the stock clutch feel but wants something a little stronger.

Finally, kudos and many thanks to Larry Bastanza and Asimo Motorsport for the install and for his commitment to excellence. Larry you da man!

I also have an ACT replacement clutch.

I agree with the prior assessment.

I understand that the friction materials are the same as stock. The only real difference is the slightly stronger springs.

You quickly get used to the springs.
