Anyone does this by themselves? My 92 needs more from what I believe, the drivers side is not blowing cold air but the passenger seems to be okay. I want to learn how to do this, please let me know.

Thanks!

If the car is retro fitted you can add freon but you will not know how much to add since you would need an a/c machine. If it isn't retro fitted you wont be able to get ahold of r12 with out a lic.But it sounds like you have something else wrong. As the NSX isn't a dual climate system. Both sides should blow the same temp.

If you passenger is OK and the driver side is not, it may not be the AC. Check for obstruction in the driver side vent. I have heard of people putting dryer sheet in that area to get rid of the vent/mildew smell that way (assuming that you got your NSX recently). Does the driver side vent work with the AC off?

If the system is low on freon, the driver's side vent will get warm while the passenger side still blows cool air. This means you have some freon, but it is low.

you are right the NSX is NOT a Dual AC system.

but you are also not correct about the blowing cold on one side.

when the AC System is low it will get warm on the Driverside first

and still be cold on the passengerside.

I had no ac when I forst got my NSX. after driving it for 3 weeks in the Florida Heat. I was at an autoparts store and said f-it and got a 80 dollar Convertion kit.

did the convertion, started filling it per the instructions. well after about the 2nd can the Passengerside was ICE cold. but the driverside was Warm as shit. so I thought I might have done something wrong, ran inside
searched PRIME and found lots of people saying the same thing.
I think LARRY B chimed in and said keep filling it it will get cold on both sides. I did and when I felt the ICE flowing from my driverside Vents I stopped filling it. I have had ICE cold air for 1.5 years now not one problem.

since the NSX has such a small cabin its so cold your have to ride with sweat pant under your work pants LOL

Hmm I wounder what causes this.I just looked at the diagram and the air flows through the evap over the heater core and in the vents as long as the doors are open. The only thing I can think would be the freon is turning to a liquid half way through the evap there for cooling half the air. And there must be a wall in there the separates the air flow.So the passanger side air dosent mix with the driver side vents.

I believe everyone...that the right side blowing cold and the left (driver's side in North America) blowing warm...indicates low refrigerant...I'm just curious as to why?
Thanks!

To make everyone happy, I was able to fix it already!! :) thanks shawn!

if anyone in the bay needs help, I will gladly help them out.
