I think I read it that it is due low freon. Not sure what that bottle in the front of the radiator called, just check to see if it has a lot of bubbles when the air is running. Bubbles indicate low freon level.
Yep, most likely candidate is that you are low on freon.
I just bought this recharge kit from Pepboys and used my R134 replacement called Autofrost for 10 degree cooler temps. Charging was a piece of cake and now my car is a fridge.
If you are low, you have a leak. You can either have that leak fixed and it could be expensive, or you can fill it up from time to time for not very much money.
It's just this cheap little kit you can buy with or without the R134. I think it ran me about $25 for the kit with the guage and hoses. I don't think you actually need the gauge if you just watch the bubbles.
All you do is you screw in the R134 or Autofrost can, screw in the tap and unscrew the tap to let the stuff out and let it charge until the bubbles disappear. You connect the hose to the low pressure side on the AC system. This connection has a blue cap with an L on it and I believe it's on the larger of the AC lines near the firewall under the hood.
You can find these kits at almost any auto parts store. I bought mine at Pepboys.
you can not use the sight glass when charging 134a, it is only good with r12. If you charge until no bubbles the pressure will be too high. I believe the actual 134 charge should be 80% of the R12 charge printed on the core support
