AC Compressor Running

I have noticed my AC compressor running even when it should be off. I have even turned on the climate control system on and set AC OFF and it still runs, not all the time but like it is under some kind of control. Has anyone else noticed this, is this a sign my climate control unit is getting ready to die?

Brian, I just checked mine and the compressor only runs when the climate control unit powers up.

I'm thinking it's one of two things: 1) the board has a bad cap somewhere. I know when mine went bad, the unit would occasionally turn itself on and run on full blast even though the digital readout was completely OFF. 2) There is a circuit "stuck" in the open position somewhere between the climate control unit and the compressor constantly feeding the compressor power.

My unit is not turning it's self on but it is probably time to change out all the caps. I think I will order up the caps tonight from digikey so next week I can rebuild it. I will order extra so if anyone else wants a kit of the 13 caps PM me.
