AC clutch/pulley change

Hi, i need some help regarding AC issues. I spoke with a tech from carcompressors about buying an AC compressor. Their compressors are from Integras- same P/N as the NSX but a different pulley size. I believe that my AC clutch has gone bad and that's why I'm not getting AC to work. I had converted to R-134 and while trying to run the AC, the compressor wasn't turning on due to a bad clutch. I was told that the clutch is part of the pulley by the tech at carcompressor. He said if I pull the pulley from the old compressor to the new compressor, i would still have the same issue. Can someone confirm this?

Thanks for any input,

Sounds like he is right. The clutch/pulley assembly does not come with or is part of the replacement compressor. I had a similar issue when I purchased a compressor a few years ago. When it was taken apart we found that the pulley/clutch was the issue. I had to get another pulley/clutch assembly, which was the real problem all along. I ended up changing the compressor for the rebuilt anyway, since I had it and we were in there.

The Clutch Set 38900-PR7-003 which I think is a Legend part, you might try barking up that tree.

The Legend compressor will bolt up fine: it has the same chassis and as a bonus it has a higher displacement too.

I just did some checking with my parts databases,.

Larry is quite correct: PR7 are NSX [engine] parts.

PH7 is Legend [engine] parts.

So to recap: the Legend compressor body will interchange, but the compressor clutch probably will not (at least not without custom belt length matching)
