I got a ticket for no front plates, but I don't have the brackets. Does anyone know where I can purchase/borrow one and how much they cost? Another question is, do they make contact with the front of the bumper. I have a brand new OEM bumper (damn racoon :frown: ) and I don't want the bracket/brace to scratch up the bumper. Suggestions, anyone? Thanks!

Get the Dali plate holder. It tucks in nicely under the front nose. There should be two holes there where the bracket can be mounted. I finally gave in for the time being to putting the damn thing on after getting my 7th no front plate ticket. It's coming off again eventually though. Hideousness.

Go to your local cop shop and while in the parking lot slap the damn plate on with some two sided tape, be sure to do this undetected though  then go get the dude who writes off "fix it" tickets, he usually sits at the front desk, and tell him you need to get a front plate ticket signed off...all he does is barely look at it and signs it off...then slowly drive out of the lot and pull into nearest gas station and remove the lame front plate

good luck.

I thought of doing that, but has a cop ever come up and take a closer look? That would kinda suck big time!

Saw the Dali plates..those are pretty cool. I'll try the sticky tape method first (unless someone has had bad experience with it...). If that doens't work, then I'll try the Dali method

I'm sure someone in your area can loan you a bracket for a day.

If you are planning to keep the front plate on in the future investing in the Dali bracket is worth it. If not getting a loaner is cheaper.

Or you can do what I did. It is slanted slightly to match the front end of the bumper and it didn't cost me anything except a few minutes. Just remember to put high density foam behind to prevent scratching up the middle piece.

My car came with the front plates on. I was one of 3 people who had front plates on at the JGTC race last month out of 100 cars..
I plan to keep them on as I don't need the extra work to take care of tickets.
I know people get tickets just parked in a lot.
I'll look and see if its east to take off. There are no holes on the front, I believe they are under or something.

hehehehehe...the duct tape method worked well. The sheriff was too excited about the car itself rather than looking at the plates  infact he didn't even look at the plates!! He even got into a friendly bet with the deputy on how much it costs, horsepower and etc. Court was actually pretty fun :)
