A Stupid Idea...Joyluck Club!!

Gents,
I feel that my age has caught up with me. As such, I have a stupid idea by creating an exclusive club for us in which we combine our current car hobby with business and life.

We can gather for a Sunday branch to chat about life, business, motivation, future activities, how we can help each other excel in life and so forth………………….than we’ll take a leisure drive. This would be a club where we pump each other up to improve ourselves with family, business, and yes, our cars!!!!! What do you think? If you are interested, reply to this posting and we can get it going.

Traditionally, business/leads groups meet during the week for breakfast. However, most participants of these are local business owners. Keyword being local! We are wide spread in different cities and 3 counties. So, what would be the best way to handle our situation????

I think the best way to do it is on the weekend over breakfast or brunch to follow with a drive if so choose. We will stick to our agenda for the week on topics to follow with open topic if any whether business, personal, up coming drives or whatever.... As such, we will need to have a moderator and so forth. By doing at this fashion, we can cover everythin needed, and have an over view of what happen the past week and plan for the next. As soon as we conclude the meeting, we can ease out for a little cruise How is that?

I can come as a guest speaker as I will be in Anaheim between Dec.23-Jan. 3rd. I can do a Tony Robbins hype you up speech, or we can just have a few beers.

Weekends are great as long as it's early and not on Sunday's as mentioned by Joel. Brunch is a little too late in the morning.

Option 1: As much as I hate to loose my beauty sleep, I vote for early on a Saturday around 8:00 AM. At a place that is 50/50 between the furthest person in each direction. That gives us the rest of the day to do family stuff and Honey Do's (For us married folk)!

Option 2: As much as I hate to loose more beauty sleep, I vote for even earlier on a Saturday around 7:00 AM. At a place that's in close proximity to a meeting point for a group drive. That way we can coordinate a drive on those days - killing 2 birds with one stone.

Sounds like it could be interesting, so count me in. Years ago I used to meet with a small group ~4 guys for Friday Breakfast--We called it the Breakfast Club. Since we were all consultants at the time, the topics generally revolved around our work issues.

Maybe we can meet in Laguna Beach, or the Newport Coast area?

Wow..I guess my idea is not stupid after all Since we have this many people already, I call for a meeting this weekend to discuss the purpose of the club, goals, and so forth. More importantly we need to introduce ourselve in a deeper level besides name and car. Also a good name for the club will be awesome too. Heck, we can even incorporate as a nonprofit organization

.... and I thought the whole idea of this exclusive club was for a bunch of gumpy car dudes looking for another parallel universe from reality to vent our discontents for life and blab, blab, blab ... Wow, can't wait till the first gathering

I actually prefer Saturday 7AM. I work on Saturday and Sunday but at least on Saturday I can have my co-worker cover my A$$ for couple hours. On Sunday I work alone.
Btw one extra hour of beauty sleep won’t enhance my look; it’s about as bad as it gets anyway.

This is awesome. Sounds like we`ve got some good interest. I won`t be able to make any meeting this week though as I`ll be in Vegas, but it wouldn`t be a bad idea to get things started. I vote for 8 am at the earliest. After a Fri night out... that`s probably already stretching it. And I`m not entirely sure where everyone lives, but somewhere in between LA and OC would be my choice.
