On my way home last night, eager to get out of the parking lot, I curbed my NSX. I didn't even see the curb and my heart sank when I heard the horrible crunching sound. From the sound of it, it sounded like the whole left side of the car was torn off. Reluctant to get out, trying to keep my tears at bay I mustered enough courage and got out to examine the damage. Luckly, there was no damage to the body. No scratches nor dents. Unfortunately, the left front spoiler(the black piece that gets scraped all the time) got mangled pretty good and the rear left rim got a decent sized gash. Lastly, the alignment is slightly off to the right from this incident. Fortunately, these are all replaceable without having to take my car into the shop. Needless to say, I had a pretty rough time sleeping last night.

I have a few questions. Anybody know:
1) How much a replacement front lip costs?
2) How much a replacement rear rim(17in) costs?

Is it better to order it from the dealership or buy it through another vendor?

If you need a good wheel guy I have one hear in Portland, Skips Wheelwerks. He did my work and several other exotics. Prices are reasonable and the work he does is excellent. The only down side is he's a one man show so you may end up waiting if he's backed up. Send me an email if you want is number and address.

I know the feeling. The first night I had my newly mounted, freshly painted Wings West front lip spoiler, I misjudged it's protrusion since it sticks further forward than the stock lip and crunched it against one of those concrete blocks that sit in front of parking spaces. Fortunately only the paint cracked. I've also scraped up my rims from poor parallel parking after a night out on the town. The damage was relatively minor & only aesthetic, a metal polisher was able to polish most of the blemishes out. You will of course have to dismount your tire. It cost me $45 per rim and took him 4-5 days. Sounds like the rim is repairable, I would go this route since a replacement factory rim is quite expensive.
