A question about salvage exotics

umm, what is it about salvage titles that makes them so undesireable? My mom used to work for an insurance company and she said that insurance companies don't like to insure salvage titles because they tend to suffer more damage in an accident due to questionable repairs from the salvage.

Anyone have any input or experience in this matter? A salvage title seems to be the only way I could ever afford an NSX, but would it be worth it? What's the worst case scenario you guys have experienced or heard of?

Remember, "they tend to suffer more damage in an accident due to questionable repairs from the salvage."

Also, if you can only afford an NSX with a salvage title, then you can't afford the operating costs of the car, either.
