I am 6'2" and I am constantly trying to adjust my seat to find that compromise between more headroom and be able to comfortably reaching the steering wheel. I wanted to recline the seat more but then I can't reach the wheel.

I first tried getting a set of seats but those seats did not work out (too wide). I then decided I should see if I can get the steering wheel closer to me.

I have a NRG hub with Sparco Faster wheel. I found and bought a 30mm Works Bell spacer off ebay and installed it today.

The results are night and day! I can now sit lower and still have a comfortable and closer grip of the wheel. The best thing is the spacer cost me less than 30 dollars. Much cheaper than an aftermarket seat.

Here are some pictures. I originally had a 10mm NRG spacers. Check out the difference...

This is probably the best bang for the bucks mod for me so far.

Great - If you don't want an OEM wheel and airbag. For those that do - the Dali low seat cushion (or no seat cushion) may be the best mod .

1. Personally I don't want a 19 years old airbag deploy on me.
2. I like cushion.
3. Dali does not sell one in ivory.

But you're right... it's not for everyone.

That would definitely be an ergonomic improvement for me, too. Do you have to reach to get to the blinker stalk or can you still get to it with your hands in their normal position on the wheel?

19 year old airbag, I saw this show the other day, Did you know some Deloreans had airbags, yes in the 80's well they deployed this airbag from the Delorean and it worked perfect. 29 year old airbag and thats using technology from the 80's just think what Honda's airbag could do. I am sure it would be safer than a Deloreans. but they said the shelf life of an average Airbag is 10-12 years. Yikes

I noticed the same thing and considered the SOS adapter that is taller also. Looks good. I may decide to do the same. Thanks for posting

I am looking for such a spacer. Where did you bought it?

It's a Works Bell spacer. Do a google search and you'll find one,as there are several sites that sell them.

I'm 6'7" and am rocking stock seats with the stock cushion... no big deal. :P

You must have long legs and no torso. I am 6'1" tall and 200 lbs. and I barely fit after I put on my helmet. If you are sitting in the car upright like a driver should and not in a "Low Rider" stance you most likely won't fit all the time. The car just doesn't have that much seat room and this is something I am dealing with still and I may just alter my stock seat with my upholstry guy.

I am 6'2" and 175 lbs. and can't fit in the stock seat with a helmet (my helmet hits the roof). I took out the seat cushion, used 2 layers of carpet pad cut to fit and covered it with black leather. It made all the difference I needed. I drive it all the time like that and no longer use the OEM cushion at all. Try it - You'll like it! Happy Motoring!
