1. i read that the price for the bbsc includes installation, and well since i live on the east coast and wont be able to send my car over to get it installed, does the installation fee get deducted?

2. Anyone know a good shop in the jersey/ny area that would be able to install it for me? or could i have it installed at my local acura dealership?

3. will my local acura dealership install aftermarket parts (headers, short gears, intake exhaust)??

4. after i have purchased my nsx (im looking for a 91 or 92) what do you guys suggest i do to make sure the car runs as close to its stock hp rating, should i change the spark plugs? oil and oil filter, just little things that would make it have the power it should...

thanks for your help!

Since you haven't bought an NSX yet, I suggest you wait before doing any mods. Drive it a while and see how you like it. Get used to it and get to know what, if anything, you'd like to change about it. Until then, I wouldn't worry about the BBSC or any other mods.

1. I believe the answer is no. I also believe that at this point Mark won't sell you one unless he installs it.

2. I'm not from that area so I can't comment.

3. Call them and ask. Acura dealers are independantly owned and operated and have different policies on aftermarket installations. Some will do anything, some will do nothing.

4. Make sure it is up to date on all scheduled maintenace and maybe run a compression and leakdown test.

I understood Mark's original discussion of price that the first 30 would not be charged for installation, after that there would be a charge for installation.

I agree with Ken and Lud, as of now, no one is installing the BBSC except Mark Basch.

Correct. Only me, and my very able bodied side kick Nick are doing BBSC installs initially. I am / was very afraid that a botched install will be reported as a product failure and any new product is so vulnerable in its early stages of intro. Even the best Techs make mistakes (god knows I do) but few are too interested in admitting it. I am trying to avoid a situation where a tech totally blows the install, then when things turn to s--t, the kit gets blamed. I can't protect it forever, but I can for now, and I am. That is the only reason. Period.

The free installs were for the first thirty, but last Friday Jane took order number 140, or something like that. (VBG) The install labor certainly depends on who is doing it, but I would not charge more than 350. for the job. The actual mounting only takes about 4 hours, but with adjustments and tweeking etc, it is probabally going to consume 6 hours of someones day.

Cheers,
Mark

I'm sure that once Mark starts getting caught up on his backlog, either he will find someone on the East Coast to install it, or he and Nick will be flying out there to do some themselves.

thanks alot for your help guys, ive driven a few nsx's when i was 17 doing valet, i had one owner ask me to go to a gas station to fill up one of his tires, im now 20 and i own a 2000 integra type r and a 2002 tl type s, i love my integra but i feel its time to move onto something better, i love the nsx and my buisness is doing well so im thinking of buying one, im going to go all out in this car, meaning im going to mod it as much as i can. money is not a problem, but im figuring that i get a 91 and put more money into it then getting say a 97 and only putting a few, i really appreciate you guys helping me out with these questions, anyone intrested in buying a ITR?

From what I understood, Ken is 100% correct. At some point there will be an east coast install. I think everything is still gray on when and where that may be.
