New item soon to come out from WP Pro, a vendor on NSXPrime will be offering this for retail sale fairly shortly I will let the vendor provide all the specs and answer questions. :) However, wanted to share a couple photos. Disclaimer, photography talent is no where near Synth19.

Any more details on WP Pro? I must be a BBK newbie

LOL. WP Pro is going to be a new manufacturer for the NSX Community. It's very similar in size to Stoptech. All the specs, I'll leave to the vendor when the product is ready for retail sale.

All WP Pro calipers are cold forged from T6061 aluminium under 5000 tons of pressure and then treated with carbon nitride. This tough treatment yields calipers that can withstand more force and are three times stronger than cast aluminium calipers.

In 1981, WP Pro started out as an OEM brake parts supplier. I can't remember which car, but there is a REALLY need $1M+ exotic that is produced that has the same brake system on it at OEM. I'll have to dig around and find it.

That looks great! Where did you get the RSD's from? Surprised someone had them in stock! I like that finish, especially on your car. On a side note, I think you need to do something about your rear to balance out that super aggressive sideskirt. Maybe a diffuser or something. Rear is too high compared to the front/sides IMHO. I know i've told you this before.

I have a diffuser possibly enroute - that vendor who created the one with the rounded fins is doing a sharper fin design that I plan to put on the car. I just have to wait to get measurements. My rear valence is 6" off the ground and if the diffuser comes down 4", then I'll have 2" of clearance and it will be a problem backing out or into my driveway on the bottom dip.

Matt was selling his RSD's. They were never installed, 100% new with new tires. So, technically I got new wheels without the delay on a discount being sold as used. I was in a slight situation as my existing wheels wouldn't clear the new brakes and I didn't want the car on jackstands for 2-3 months. I lucked out.

Then maybe go back to OEM sideskirts, will give your car a much cleaner look IMO. Sides are cool, but I think they are too aggressive for a non-widebody.

The real question is... how is pad availability. I hope they used generic sizing so that say.. Hawk HP+'s are available. I believe I asked your vendor about this. It would be extremely limiting if only WP made pads for WP calipers.

Waiting to hear more!

The pads are made specifically by WP Pro. Pricing is VERY reasonable and the pad contact area is larger than the StopTech area. By how much specifically, I don't know - these details surely will be covered later through the vendor with manufacturer specs.

Looks great. What is the price? Also do they make the BBK to run with the stock NSX caliper?

I don't know the price, again - this is not yet released to the public. I'm confident the pricing is less than the StopTech kit, probably more than Brembo (unsure, I'm guessing).

All I can do for everyone at this point is basically say my opinion on how it looks and how it performs. Everything else that is related to pricing and specifications, will be outlined by someone else (not me). :)

I believe Brembos cost more than Stoptech.

I ran WP on my previous NSX (96 targa). Very bad experience. My friend was an authorized distributor for them in 2002-2004 and sure they have nice specs and even have dual calipers for really cheap. But again, you'll get what you paid for.
I wouldn't recommend people jumping into it with out more testing and verify the quality as it might have changed since.
Lets just say that I wouldn't put it on my NSX again.

Hmmm...

Ok, I'll stick to my AP Racing setup.

Well, I know several local guys with the WP Pro BBK. Both sets have been purchased within the last two years. One mostly uses them on the street and hasn't had any complaints. The second is a time attack spec evo and swears by them. He hasn't had any issues and has tracked them for a ton of events. Looking forward to the feedback from Hijacker.

I welcome new NSX vendors anyday everyday. Hopefully these can be proven to be a serious option and not just for show. If they're good then my concern (availability of brake pads from Hawk, PF, etc) will be answered by the market anyway.

These remind of how people use to hate on Rotoras before. I'm willing to hear more feedback

Same feedback is what I received from a personal friend who has them on his car, and he's a semi-pro drifter that travels with the car.

Also, have a look at the Zenvo ST-1, its a supercar made in Denmark. You'll recognize the brakes as WPPro. :)

Wow Steve, Your car looks great!! I love the new wheels, the pictures turned out great as well. Some specs on Steve's setup: He is running the WP PRO NSX street setup featuring forged WP Gold anodized 6 piston calipers all around with 170x45mm sport pads. Rotors are 336x30mm directional vented with color matched forged rotor hats. I will be starting a thread in the vendor section as soon as the kits are 100% ready for retail sale, which should be soon. Any questions or inquiries please pm or email me, I don't want to hijack Steve's thread. Thanks. Steve, everything came out incredible, can't wait to see the rear diffuser installed!
