A/C problem - clicking noise when set to certain positions

Can anyone help this gentleman? I've never heard of this particular problem before:

I need some help in knowing whether anyone has the same experience of what I am going through for my NSX .

Recently, my a/c start to produce 'clicking' noise when the wind blow selector are set to blowing face, face/foot and foot except for blowing the windshield/foot (the noise gone).

When I select the button to just blow the windshield, there isn't any wind coming out from the top of the dashboard even the windshield / foot has no wind coming off to the windshield.

Any suggestion of what I should do and what do I need to change?

I had this clicking noise as well, a wire connector fell into the path of the mechanism that closes the foot vents. The clicking was the motor trying to close it, but not being able to.
