Just aquired an 02 C2 - I had a 91 NSX that I owned for 3 years and had to let go due to having two kids

I just wanted to say that the NSX still wins overall for these reasons

design, mid engine feel, the view from the driver's seat, how easy and comfortable it is to drive on a daily basis, and reliability - truly a spectacular piece of automotive engineering in every aspect.

In my opinion, the 911 is the only true sports car with seats for my 2 kids - I haven't driven anything with 2 back seats that came close. Steering and brakes and overall feel is simply amazing

I got it with a 2-year porsche warranty so I don't have to worry about engine failures (IMS) for 2 years

Down the road, an NSX will be added but in the right time

NSX7,

You know I am really wondering why after being on here since 06 you don't understand what Doc is saying. It's not hard to add to a post that is EXACTLY like the one directly above your post! You had an NSX and now a 911 - what is it you are trying to figure out dude. Is there something you don't already know after all there is basically no point to your thread anyway. Just trying to get your post in the right place - don't mean to offend.

NSX7,

You are a new poster - you have to understand that we have been on this site a long time and have read many posts like yours and we're just trying to keep the site tidy. Try and cooperate with us and read a bit before getting your panties in a wad. Read some and try and fit in - you'll find that we are a helpful bunch and not trying to ridicule you just trying to assist you and the site. Is that so hard to understand. You are the new guy - not us. You want our help - help us to help you- real simple. That is if you want anyone to answer you.

Doc is a respected member here and he and all of us try to help - that's all this is - not trying to irritate. Thanks,

Just to let you know, I am not a new poster/member. My join date is January 2006. Yours is April 2009. I have been reading this site way before 2006 to learn about the NSX. You just bought an NSX and I sold my NSX around 4 years ago. I don't have to fit in because I am already in. I just don't have the time to enter the site regularly anymore. I don't have the time to read every post either. I am very familiar with all the people that have been on this site for a long time and how they write from the days when I had time to read every post. I also know very well who tries to help new members when they have questions and who likes to show off and be a smartass. What you are saying is wrong and irrelevant. I was not looking for help. I was simply stating my experience to share an open discussion with car enthusiasts - that's all. But someone had to jump in right away and teach me a lesson for not reading a similar post before I posted mine and someone else had to follow him blindly and stating wrong info without investigating first. To answer your question: Yes that's very hard to understand!!!!!!!

No comment - read your original post (it is quoted as part of my reply) that magically disappeared and then read my answer and then you will understand. If you still can't understand, I can't help you then - I simply give up

Enjoy your Porsche and don't worry about the wannabe forum cops.

It was kinda humorous to see someone who's been here barely a year call you a n00b though. :)

I posted this one that NSX7 quoted and as I was revising my post he was replying I guess. It really doesn't matter but if your post sounds like it written by a noob - it's no wonder it got the response it did. Anyway - like I said there isn't anyone responding to this anyway so I guess we could have said nothing and you would have gotten the point all by yourself.

Sorry - and when you start talking about those that help folks- well obviously your reading here has been lacking for at least a year - cause with the number of posts I have you'll find the predominance of my posts are to help others. I'm not sure what yours is about and why it's gotten no response but this bs - which I'm sorry I added to at all. You see a lot of us post all the time - read all the posts and keep up - if you don't then you'll expect to hear responses like the ones you've gotten. Kind of stupid of me to have posted at all like you say. But you got to my original post before I corrected it - so take this for what it's worth which ain't much.

I'll keep my nose out of this stuff from now on.

Guys,
No need to jump his gut. NSX7 is legit and he is just stating that he bought a 996 which is a great car with 2 more seats hence it fits his needs better. That's why I still have my 911 and 928 which my 2 young boys won't let me sell.
jinos from the Porsche 964 thread was clearly an idiot with a brain dead girlfriend. He came on Prime just to troll.
Please everyone take a deep breath and wait 10 seconds and say hi again.
Apology to Jf308 for mixing him up with Jinos the troll.

So NSX7,
You got a great car and hope your 2 kids enjoy it as much as you do. My boys certainly love the Porsches' extra seats when they fight for daddy's ride although both love to be the sole passenger of the NSXs.

I think NSX7 just wants the attention of having his own thread!!!!!!
P.S. I'm joking

Thanks for your opinions NSX7, I'm considering the NSX right now so it's nice to have a write up on a car in a similar price range

White. I surely disagree on one point - JF308 is not a troll - I've been pm'd several time and talked with him on the phone - he's a good guy - just as I am sure NSX7 is as well. OK. So as to the 911 we all should know it's a great car - I've had 3 of em. I'd have a new one right now if i could afford one. IF you are going to take a trip across the country and had serious luggage like golf clubs and were going for a while - you wouldn't be doing it in a NSX imho, but you sure could in a 911! No doubt and the new engine has a whole lot of promise.

Anyway I just got off on the wrong foot here and I hope NSX7 continues to post and read more often.

Tim

Steve,

Just to set the record straight you are confusing this email from the "idiot with a braindead girlfriend etc" - that wasn't Jf308 - look at the threads he started. That's not him so try not to keep precipitating this urban legend. Jf308 is a good guy. I don't think I can be any more clear than that.

I will delete my post with the quote to save your dignity whitensxs

If you have found a way to send senility out the window - I want that cure! Please share:biggrin:

buy a liquid-cooled 02+ 911 and that will do it

No, no, no he said seNility not senSibility.....lol  That would do it - cause you'd forget you were waiting for the IMS bearings to fail...bad, bad, BAD!

You know I still want a 997.2 Targa. The new direct fuel injected engine has a lot of promise so far! I have a friend with one. Be a good touring car.

When is a post a repost? I don't think this is. He's just sharing some of his impressions.

If an NSX drives through the forest, does anyone hear it?

If it is my NSX then yes they do. I've got video to prove it that I'm editing right now.
