I am able to drive my car again, after 3 months of on and off downtime, and took the car to a parking garage today for some pictures... The only planned changes, from this state, are the installation of a rear diffuser, and a larger heat exchanger for the turbocharger - aesthetically the car is, more or less, complete.

Here are the pics:

thanks for the great pics. 2 qs:

how did you like the fit/quality of the cf console? (who did you buy it from)

why did you paint the front hood red instead of blk? (since you have a blk theme)

i like it red btw. great job!

Man...your car looks straight wicked!! The only thing I cannot get past is that the silver/chrome bumper sticker detracts from the overall clean look of the vehicle.

Lookin' good John. It's time to enjoy her this year. Congrats on the wicked ride. I've always liked the marga hood. The parts from Advance and Revolution coupled with the turbo surely set it apart this year.

98% done with mods thou... who are you kidding? I suppose there comes a time to pass the pipe. Best of luck with the withdrawl.

John....just amazing bro, I really love the car. One criticism though, IMHO you should change the hood pins to the aero-catch ones, so it's less busy up front.

Other than that thanks for the PM's and other info, looking to join the FI NSX boat soon.

-Leatherseats replacement leather (tan w/suede)

Do you have pics of the suede? From the pics, the seats look stock.

The car looks great! I remember you mentioning that the bumper sticker hides a blemish, but it's gotta go. Besides that, I'd just recommend tinting the windows to complete the black/red theme and hide the tan.

The console fits great, and it is good quality... it's from prestige (look in the vendor forum, for the thread 'quality cf center console' for more info), a little thin, but it is full carbon, and the headunit keeps it from flexing.

I felt the car would look odd with an off color hood... the roof and wing go together black, and I felt painting the inside of the headlight buckets in satin black would offset the housings better... I am pleased with how everything came out.

Looks niiice. Where did you get the turbo badge??

The badge is from an Acura RDX - sanded, primered, and painted flat black. The 'turbo' part is sold by itself, you should be able to get one at any Acura dealer.

I made a thread about a year ago, entitled 'done with modifications?' - the car looks radically different now

-Leatherseats replacement leather (tan w/suede)

The bolster tips are black suede, and the stitching is black as well... I don't have decent pictures, as they're embarassingly dirty (the car has been in several shops, for body work (headlights), turbo installation, and tuning, for the last few months) - I took the car through a quickie wash prior to these pics, but it needs some attention. The bumper sticker on the rear bumper hides a blemish, and I am having this fixed in just under 2 weeks, so, once the paintwork is complete, I am going to have the car detailed.

The bumper sticker comes off on the 19th, I made the appointment with the paint shop today, it would have been done earlier, but the turbo kit delayed things for a few weeks.

Deft Racing sells aerocatch hoodpins. They're very nice.

I am not a fan of the aerocatch pins, which require significant modification to the hood... I looked at them prior to finding these, and picked these instead... a small pin, a small hole in the hood, and a good design (self-latching, billet aluminum)

Thanks for the kind words... I have written the title, so now I am locked in - no tint, just a heat exchanger, which has already been ordered from Summit, and the rear diffuser ;)

Within the span of a mere 2% completion, would you (insert profanity here) please, find it in your heart to upgrade them seats?

(kidding) Really nice ride!

Bro,

Your car looks really nice. It is tasetfully done and the looks now match the power of the car. Great job.

That car is begging for you for to paint the rear spoiler and roof/pillars and change out the wheels to silver.

You have a bumper sticker on it???? I'm sorry, but I am not feeling that at all.

car looks great john!!!!

i can't wait till your gruppe m gets here so mine can also get some much needed boooost..

I heard that last year. I am just kidding. Quite frankly the smile on your face is the best review.

I saw the car in action today, very.....fast, seem a lot faster than your previous set up, my guess is that it may even be at C6 Z06 category already. Next time you come across Copper SRT-10 Viper again, smoke him then tell him "turbocharged, that's why".
