Im going to replace my shocks shortly and was exploring spring options. Im hoping to keep the stock ride height, but want something slightly stiffer. I was wondering if anyone had any comments or experience with driving the 91-94 and 97+ stock springs back to back? The FAQ indicates that the front 97 springs are slightly stiffer. Was this small difference noticeable? Would it be worth my effort to go out and locate a set of 97+ front springs? Are there any other options?

I'm assuming that you want to keep as close to OEM ride height as possible but have stiffer springs correct? I think obtaining the '99 Zanardi springs and shocks might be just what you are looking for. Just make sure that you don't get springs for the targa models. Targa models are heavier, and if you install springs made for the targe model on your coupe, it might raise your car beyond the OEM ride height.

MJ had suggested the zanardi springs as well, but I was hoping for something about midway between the stock and zanardi springs. The H&Rs would have been cool if they didnt lower the car 1.5".

As per the T springs... I didnt think of it that way, but youre absolutely right. They would make the car sit about 1/2" higher. OTOH, maybe the 1/2" gain could be negated with the 0.7" from using the lower bilstein spring perch?

I don't know if any of this will help with your choice, but I will let you know what I found.

I replaced the shocks and springs on my '00 NSX-T because it was too soft for me, I went with the Tein coilovers and once the car was corner balanced it was perfect. I had a '91 previously and it was much better than the '00 stock versus stock. I believe I read that they softened the suspension on the Targa's because they felt the average user didn't want handling as much as comfort.

Good Luck!

P.S. I have a set of '00 NSX-T springs that I will sell you for $75 + shipping. That way you can try them out and if they don't work you won't have very much invested.
