93+ Octane Gasoline in LA/Southbay area?

unfortunately thanks to our good friends in CARB the best you're going to find without paying the premium for racing gas is 91 octane in CA.

There is a place in torrance I believe off del amo between western and van ness. I remember buying race gas from them a long time ago. Not sure if they are still there since I have not been there in a long time.

Hey Art why dont you just fart in your tank and youll get 99 octane!!

If you can locate some toluene that would be the ticket. It is used in gas to raise the octane rating of the fuel. I tried to find a local source for 5gal container but was not lucky in my first effort. The stuff off the counter is not that great. You would be better off buying racing fuel which is about $5.50 per gallon. Union 76 has a number of stations thoughout the Southern California area. Just go to their web page and do a search. I know of one off the 91 freeway and brookhurst (general area) and also one in Corona del mar.

I was just in Pasadena last night and the station I stopped at had 100 octane at the pump. I didn't say whether or not it was unleaded, however it did say "Race Fuel" on the pump. Price was $6.19 a gallon. It's the first gas station right when the 110 fwy ends in South Pasadena. Here's the address:

P&R OIL INC - 155 E GLENARM, PASADENA, CA 91105

Mission Viejo, I-5 at La Paz exit there is a station (can't remember which brand) with one pump of racing fuel. Not sure of actane level or price, but memory serves correct is $6+. Dirt bike racers keep the station busy and they frequently sell out.
