'93 NSX factory CD changer

NSX 6 CD changer mounted in trunk is bad. Have opportunity to buy used working Alpine chm-s601 model for about $45. Seller states it'ds compatible with older Alpine m-bus headunits & includes interface adapter to work with 1992-97 Honda or Acura radios. Read Prime blogs referring to Alpine 5960 as OEM for 1002-4 NSX & in 1995, the S600, then S601.

Most of these threads are very old (1999). It's 2011 now. Bottom line, will Alpine S601 work in '93 AT ALL & if so, without too much time/$ retro-fitting

I had one that plays mp3 cd from an 2003 i believe. It works in my 93. As long as it come with the original wire for that changer. You gonna have to take out the old wire in the trunk and use the new one. My bolt up perfect. Idont have it anymore since i have the ipod adapter frim grom audio.

any 6 disc changer with the Din round DIN plug will work

from 1990-97 Honda ( any model )
and 1990-98 Acura ( any model )

you can get a working cd changer off ebay for like pennies on the dollar. I have seen them for 39-80 bucks

then you see the same changer but it says NSX on it and they are asking 450 for it

Should just remove it and put an iPod/iPhone adaptor. You will enjoy that a lot more.
