<br>I’m the 3rd owner. I purchased this car from its second owner July of 2006 on eBay. The original owner of the car was Ivan Snyder who owned DC Comics. He sold the car in 2000 to the second owner. I was very leery about the great deal I got with the tasteful aftermarket parts installed. It was almost too good to be true, but I took the chance with the eBay purchase even though I really wanted a black car. Upon seeing it in person, I almost fell over because it was a whole lot better than I imagined. I have looked at many stock NSX’s in near to or a lot worse condition, some with low-end aftermarket parts, and having higher mileage asking 29k to 32k. This one for the price was incredible.
<br>The reason for selling:
I really wanted a black car and honestly can’t stand silver. I was planning on repainting the car black, but my budget wouldn’t allow me to get it done correctly. Plus, I know Silver cars are rare and would rather someone who really appreciates the color to have it.
<br>The car had originally come with a Comptech supercharger, headers, exhaust, Dali sway bars, and Technomagnesio wheels, but I have either sold the parts or am keeping it for my black car.
<br>This is what you get:
- Clean Carfax and Autocheck despite minor fender bender
- PPI done by Don at Hilltop Auto on 07-06
- All scheduled maintenance done at Niello Acura and Niguel Motors
- All modifications performed at Basch Acura in Phoenix.
- Complete 7000.00+ paint due to very minor fender bender at a stop light. The NSX was behind an SUV both stopped at a light in a left turn lane and the truck decides he wants to put it into reverse and go to a different lane. He didn’t see the NSX behind him and lightly dinged the hood and front bumper going less than 3MPH if that. The extremely meticulous previous owner replaced the hood and bumper, plus had the entire car repainted to match. The car looks new. 3 very difficult to see minor dings on passenger door. My camera could not even pick them up. They could be easily fixed by a mobile dent repair company for not much. Maybe one or two minor rock chips and scuffs, but nothing a buffer can’t fix (scuffs). See pictures. The roof is still shiny black.
- Interior is all stock. Drivers seat has very little wear on the bolster, but no tears or rips. The center consol trim has no paint bubbling. It does have a scuff toward the armrest that is covered with electrical tape. I never lifted the tape since it was there before I bought the car. The carpet is clean with no major stains or rips.
- The car is tight - no rattle or squeals
- A/C was redone to be updated to R-134– blows ice cold
- Stock radio/CD changer works great – driver speaker amp was recently rebuilt
- Power windows works and upgraded with “fix-its”
- Engine is smooth and pulls good.
- Freshly rebuilt alternator
- New battery
- New Centerforce clutch installed at 90000 miles
- Transmission was in snapring range, but was serviced and replaced with short gears, Comptech 4:55 R&P (parts alone is worth 3000.00 new!) before anything happened– the bill from Mark Basch came out to about 6000.00 and I have the receipt along with all maintenance records since acquisition.
- Bilstein HD shocks with adjustable perches currently set for a 1 inch drop
- Timing belt and water pump done in 2000 at 36000 miles
- On board battery charger – just plug it in to charge the battery if needed
- Spare tire, air pump and jack is all there
- Gas struts for hatch and trunk have been replaced
- Newer front windshield replaced due to rock chips
- Slotted front rotors, car breaks smooth and tracks straight
- Factory alarm works great
- 97+ chin spoiler
- Hidden radar detector
- Factory cell phone
- Shaved front emblem
- All owners of the car were non-smokers
- Folder full with all service/ mods paperwork, original window sticker and original “titanium” key.
- The underside of the car pretty clean and shows no significant corrosion on parts that can rust
- It is recommended that the new owner change the timing belt as well as flush and exercise the ABS since it will on a rare occasion cycle during a cold start.
