FORSALE: 1992 ACURA NSX 5 SPEED 97,786 MILES
PRICE: $20,000 FIRM (NO TRADES)
MODIFICATIONS:
-BLACK PAINT JOB DONE IN 01/2007(ORIGINALLY RED), FULL PAINT JOB -DOOR JAMS, UNDER TRUNK, UNDER HOOD, AND ENGINE BAY. CLEAR COATED, COLOR SANDED AND BUFFED.
-HRE 345 MODEL 3PIECE WHEELS (RARE AND DISCONTINUED) NSX CUSTOM FITMENT 17X10.5 REAR AND 16X9.5 FRONT. NITTO NT-01 DRAG RADIAL TIRES 275/40 IN REAR 25% TREAD LEFT. MICHELIN PILOT SPORT TIRES 225/45 IN FRONT 75% TREAD LEFT.
-D2 FULLY ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT AND DAMPENING COILOVERS
-HORNET 2-WAY PAGER ALARM WITH ENGINE REMOTE START

-KDG H.I.D. KIT 12000K (PURPLE TINT) FOR THE LOW BEAMS
GENERAL INFO/THE GOOD: The car was bought by me in October 2006 with 88,848 miles. The car drives strong, is mechanically sound, and drives straight. Always garaged. AC blows cold. Windows work. Stereo works. The body is straight. Paint is shiny and is in okay condition. The interior dash, roof liner, A and B pilars, rear firewall liner section, and carpet are in pefect condition. Rear trunk tools and air compressor are included. No oil or fluid leaks what so ever. engine bay is always cleaned and dust free. I do all the oil changes myself with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil and OEM Acura oil filters every 4000 miles or 3 months, which ever comes first. Oil is always clean, never dark. Being a 92, This car get lots of attention and turns lots of heads. I have good amount of knowledge with cars, as I have an AS degree in power and transportaion engineering, which is mainly automotive criterea, and am an ex-owner of a modified Toyota Supra twin turbo and present owner of a Supra non-turbo and a senior member at Supraforums.com, so rest assured this car has been handled and maintained with out any neglect. I'am selling the car for investment purposes.
THE BAD: The car was given a salvage title in 02/2006, I do not have any information of the accident, all I know is that it had a front end accident as I was present while it was getting fully repaired and fixed, no major frame damage, just upper and lower radiator support damage that was replaced and fixed.
-According to carfax I'am the 5th owner, most of the owners were licensed car salesmen.
-The car is in snap ring range, but as said by an Autowave NSX specialist tech, chances of it breaking are slim since the mileage is up there already, as it should have already happend, and no, not every car in snap ring range breaks, a few of them only do actually.
-The driver side fender is customed trimmed a little too much in order to prevent the car from rubbing when making full turns because the car sits really low, the front bumper clearance is around 2 inches.
-I have no service records or receipts on hand.
-There are paint blemeshes on the rear bumper which would probabbly require the whole bumper to be repainted if you wanted it to be perfect.
-The passenger seat has normal wear cracks and wrinkles. The driver seat has wrinkles, cracks and tears, would need to be replaced if you wanted it to be perfect.
-The front bumper lip is torn up from it being low, needs to be replaced if you want it perfect.
-Rear engine hatch cover is missing (sold to expose the engine bay), spare tire is missing, front fender liners are missing.
-Trunk struts need to be replaced.
-Cassette player doesnt work.
-Center console is painted and needs to be replaced if you want it perfect.
-Center console glove has some blemishes.
As you can see the car has a good amount of bad points, but they're not at all permanent and major and can all be fixed or replaced. FOR 20K YOU ARE HANDS DOWN GETTING A CAR IN ITS PRICE MARKET THAT CAN ATTRACT THE MOST ATTENTION, PERFORM, DRIVE, AND LOOK LIKE AN EXOTIC AT THIS AFFORDABLE PRICE RANGE. I can't think of any other car for 20K that can really do all that. So if you want something that drives great, has lots of life and mileage left, no major problems, and on top of it, look and get as much attention as an exotic, this is the car for you. But if you are looking for something 100% perfect, or something that has a collectors standards, than this is not for you. If I had all the problems fixed and perfected, this car would be in the $28K-30K range.
