To be clear: the AT and MT engine have different physical cams.  The difference in HP is at the high RPM range that is available to the MT cams.


The AT engine has a better torque response at lower RPM. 


If you don't track your car, the AT engine is likely a  better profile for street driving regardless of transmission type.


If you want more HP then a roots supercharger for you. They are getting cheap in comparison to the value of the car.  Personally, I had one and it was "meh" for the type of daily driving I did.
