Apparently you have not yet read the section of the NSX FAQ (answers to Frequently Asked Questions) on the snap ring problem. To access it, click on the word "FAQ" in the red bar at the top of your screen, the one that looks like this:
and then click on "Troubleshooting" and then "Transmission (incl. Snap Ring)". It will answer all your questions (but feel free to ask any that are not answered there).
I expressed my opinion regarding snap ring range cars here. (Basically, I wouldn't have any hesitation about buying one.)
