I have an NSX engine which I purchased for a base for a spare racecar engine. It has a broken crankshaft. I remember when I bought it the guy said it had a small and quite repairable area of damage on the bottom of the engine block. It is a long block without accessories which was replaced with a new engine. It does however have the injection manifold and I think the injectors also. ( will check and confirm ) I think the guy said it had two damaged rods and/or pistons. It should be ideal for someone who wants a set of heads and inlet to modify or perhaps a block or other spares.
I also have a conrod I bought separately ( with a piston I think - again I'll confirm that )
I have about $950 in it but will sell it for $650 if someone feels they can use it.
I wish to sell it on the basis that it is a set of heads and manifold with the short block thrown in so there is no potential for disappointment or ill feeling.
Heads are complete with all Cams and V-tec gear and cam covers etc. engine has not been opened - only the sump was removed for inspection. & replaced
The guy I bought it from was a mechanic. It was a customer's car. The customer had insisted on having the rev limiter disabled against the mechanic's advice with the obvious result. The mechanic assured me it had 50,000 miles only.
I had wildly underestimated the cost of shipping it to Australia. As an alternative I would be happy to sell the short block with spare rod for $200 and keeps the heads and manifold myself. I can transport these much cheaper and ship them with a car I am bringing in.
