I know this will open a can of worms, but since you all helped make my tire sel. easier, can anyone with 18/19" combo suggest some align. specs? PLEASE only if you have 18/19" combos. I do not trackday, only hard street driving, mileage is of no importance. Only get to drive @3,000/year. Thanks

The diameter of your wheels should have no effect on the alignment specs you use. The standard advice, such as that of the "Alignment" section of the FAQ, should still apply.

Note, however, there are other factors that CAN change the recommended alignment specs and the ability of the car to be aligned to those specs, such as changes in the suspension.

I think this car has been lowered (lowering springs) in addition to the 18/19 combo. I have seen the car... One of the best kept NSXs in the Portland area.

Since you have a highly qualified NSX tech in your area - Morgan at Acura of Portland - and I'm guessing that's who you'll have doing the alignment - why not discuss it with him?

I am sure this guy knows many good mechanics as he is one as well (Motorcycles). I think he is just fishing for alignment numbers used on cars with a simular setup.

As noted, Morgan is a great source of information for this info.

hey Dorn,

It really depends on what suspension mods your running...

I have the HRE 547's in 18"/19" as well and found that my best alignment setting were at:

1.5 degrees neg in front
2.5 degress neg in rear
near 0 toe in the front
slightly toed in the rear
and I "think" it was 6.5 in the caster for the front

once I get my car back, I can look at my alignment sheet and give you hard figures.

Just remember, each person has a different driving style just like your riders....

I'm running the Tein RE's and comptech sway bars.

good luck,

Allen
