91-01 Rear bumpers the same?

I looked, and it seems like the rear bumper of a 1991 NSX is the same partnumber as a 1997 NSX.

Anyone know for sure if the rear bumpers between those years are in fact the exact same?

They are the same for those years.

The face of the bumper is the same, the metal beam inside the bumper is different. The 1991-1994 model years have steel beams in the rear bumpers and as of 1995 aluminum beams were used to save weight. To look for part numbers by model year, this site is useful. It looks like the styrofoam absorbers in the bumpers have different part numbers, too.
